Identify any CMS with Wappalyzer

How many times you’ve scrolled down to the bottom of website to check what cms it’s running on!
If you wasn’t able to do that then you’ll have to do that the old way by checking the page source.
Here is a new firefox extension that will make such process much easier.
Wappalyzer tells you what CMS you are looking at, just install it and whenever you like to know the current cms just look at the status bar.

I really wasn’t able to know the actually use of the statics that Wappalyzer - web application analyzer shows on their webpage. but it looks like the extension works with most of the cms around the web.

Few Words you'll Never be able to use as a name for your folders/files

I tried yesterday to rename folder that contain some video files "con" referring to conference.

whenever i "Enter" it just name it the default name.

tried that many times.

apparently there is few names that is called "MS-DOS Device Driver Names" that you can’t use on your windows machine.

Imagine the gamers after 20 years missing some of today's consoles or games... Legally, He (or she) has to buy it, but I was wondering “If you bought the console, the profit wouldn't go to Sony” if you bought a used-PS3 after 20 years (example!!) Yet, it'd be hard (maybe not impossible) to emulate such consoles and it's games with strong DRM protection.. it would be matter of time for “future gamers” to play PS3 (or any console) on their PCs...but why waste time on DRM while the goal is emulation not breaking DRM?! And, if somebody sued you for that, you'd be charged for breaking DRM and Piracy (Wow, two charges?!).

DRM is nothing but trouble, to gamers, to people who want to backup their music.. and list goes on!

Important Announcement The MSN Groups service will close in February 2009. You can move your group to Multiply, MSN's partner for online groups

..and what does that tell us? It tells us that one of Microsoft's companies is having financial problems (Microsoft Network Groups)! In a way it gone bankrupt and closes-down one of it's free services.. let me remind you (or inform you if you didn't know) that Microsoft did IE and MSN so it can be for both company and users wishes, in other words they wanted MSN to be "the" site but unfortunately (for Microsoft) google, yahoo, wikipedia and others are more people that it's search engine, Encarta..etc the question is: will there be a day where Microsoft as a company would go bankrupt? (maybe.. after 90 years ?)

UPDATE: Wait, doesn't it say "MSN's partner" ? Now that makes me think (and others probably): if all, or a lot of msn groups got "Transferred" to their partner wouldn't their partner's stock go up like hell? What if microsoft owns some stock?

i noticed that Captcha didn’t load the first time and upon refreshing it appeared as yesex, or yes sex.

apparently Pamela Anderson is very popular on earth, human, cyberworld and even web scripts. it won’t be weird when my hamster screams "PAM!!!!!" when dreaming about Pamela at night!

No one though that this is the exact situation that Firefox has gone through when it was unleashed out i the open "WWW"

Googlers right now just celebrating and cheering up "google chrome" "google chrome" "google chrome"
No one was able to stopped and thought about what Chrome can actually do for web browsing different from firefox or ie

Some of the words that caught my interest in the release changes-log
"Google Chrome is a better browser today" For sure it's a better version of the beta.. how obvious!
"Better stability and performance of plug-ins" What plugins! it just allow you to OPEN urls, Period.
"Even more speed." That's becoz it doesn't LOAD anything!
"Bookmark manager and privacy controls." No new features, safari offered the same features long time ago
"We've taken security very seriously" NO one is Secure! Everything has security holes
"We have removed the beta label" Just because it's not beta anymore.
